Welcome back people. When we left, Ryu had just finished a duel with a knight and secured the E. Key, destroying the town of Nanai in the process. We spoke to the King who thanked us and then we headed south to Drogen to rest and resupply.
Head on back up to Camlon and speak to the king's adviser. He suggests going to Winlan, which is east of Camlon. You'll have to pass through the ruins of Nanai to do so.

Head back around the coastline to Nanai, well, what's left of Nanai anyway, and go through the ruins to get access to the Eastern side of the continent. You'll likely get into some fights along the way, so to save time, go ahead and use the E. Key against groups of enemies. It deals a flat 30 damage to all enemies on the screen, and is great at wiping out mobs in one turn. This will be your go to AoE attack for the short term future, so get used to it. I like to move it to the top of my inventory so I can grab it faster in battle.
You'll want to sort your inventory manually to help you in fights. It's best to keep healing and AoE items up near the top, so they can be reached fast. Specialty items, like Fire Stones or Acorns, can be lower in the order. Keep any items with a non battle use toward the bottom. Once you gain access to the bank, this will be easier to manage.
Along the way to Winlan, you may notice this symbol on the ground. This is a dragon mark, and it shows the location of buried treasures. Much later, you'll get Mogu, who can dig on the map screen and collect those treasures for you.

You'll also spot apple trees, which you may have seen earlier near Drogen. These will drop items when you punch them with Ox, and as far as I know, the items you get this way are infinite. A good way to stock up on healing items later is to have Ox beat the hell out of one these trees.
Keep heading east until you reach the ruins of Nanai, then turn north around the cliff. Head through the small clearing until you see a hill going north. Climb it to enter the Winlan area. You'll see a cave to the west and a city to the east. You can try to enter the cave, but you'll be turned away by a winged guard. Head into Winlan instead, or, if you like, farm some of the enemies here for some cash. There are shops here, so check them out as well, to see if you want to upgrade any gear.
Inside Winlan proper, you'll find an inn, a save temple and two shops. Go ahead and save now, and if you need it, rest. Instead of typing out all of the items available for purchase, I'll give you a slideshow of all the shops. You also now have access to the bank. Use it to store the Vigor and Strength Potion, along with some of the extra supplies you don't need.
You should only need to carry around 3 stacks of Herbs, and 2 stacks each of Antidote and Tear Drops. Keep at least a couple of Lives on you, and stock up on Acorns at the shop. Once you've done all that, store your left over cash and back into town. Don't bother buying anything at the weapon shop. You'll be finding some nice stuff soon enough.

Once you are all done adjusting your inventory, head back to the main area of Winlan and continue east until you see this house.
Head inside and examine the dresser to find another Vigor Potion. Stash it in the bank and then head north up the stairs until you reach the palace. You can't miss it, it's the giant white building.
Head inside and speak to the guards. One of them mentions the town of Romero, and another brings up the Forest Clan and the new town of Tantar. You'll also hear some gossip about the King and his condition.
Speak to the woman by the door to advance the story. She will tell you to wait in the lobby after you ask about speaking to the King.

After consulting with the Princess, the woman in white comes back and offers you a room for the night. Guess you'll be staying here.
You'll automatically head to the center bed, and the standard inn music will play. Once the screen fades back in, however, you will find yourself in control of Nina.
At this point, you should open the menu and get comfortable with Nina's abilities. And her low level and poor equipment. I hope you remembered to buy Acorns.
Her spells are Cura, Fort and Heal. Cura restores around 50 HP, Fort increases Defense, and Heal clears most status effects, like Poison and Zombie.
You'll notice she doesn't have a shield or helmet. You could have purchased some way back at Drogen, but there isn't a need to. We'll be finding some stuff in the castle in a moment.

Explore the top floor, and you'll find the King's bedchamber. Speaking to the two people here, you learn that the Wizard of Karma likely sent a poisoned letter to the King, disguised as a letter from the Dark Dragons. You'll also learn that the Wizard has a tower past the cave from before, Aura Cave, and near the town of Romero.
Talk to Nina's dad to get an idea of how bad the situation is.

Head down the stairs and around the corner to grab the two treasure chests. Go ahead, it's your castle, take what you want.
Inside the two chests, instead of fabulous riches or helpful accessories, or legendary weapons, you find Herbs. One Herb in each chest. Who puts old plants in a treasure chest inside of a castle? Don't you have a garden for this?
Head out of this room and down past the two fountains to reach a set of closed doors. Use the action button in front to open them and you'll find four chests ripe for the picking.

In these chests, you'll find an Herb, an Antidote, and a Suede Shield and Suede Hat. Go ahead and equip the Shield and Hat to Nina and watch her ACT plummet. Great, now the fragile healer is also the slowest person on the battlefield. This just gets better and better.
Head downstairs and to the west to find a room with two chests in it. After you finish getting sloshed, open them up.

Inside are, you guessed it, an Antidote and some more Herbs. Head back upstairs to get this show on the road. Speak to the woman in white, who tells you to be careful, and continue down to the lobby. If you want, you can stop in and talk to Ryu, who is calling for Sara in his sleep.
Head on out of the castle and into Winlan proper to start your journey for the Remedy.

That's it for this one folks. It was quite a bit longer than expected, but worth it. I'll bring you back next time for the journey through Aura Cave and into Romero.
See you then, thanks for reading.
